Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Hoxton, Lloyd Amsterdam for New Year, I was enchanted by the delightful blend of modern comforts and vibrant atmosphere. Nestled in Zeeburg, the hotel is ideally located just a few tram stops from the bustling city center, making it perfect for those who wish to explore without being in the thick of it. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with air conditioning and soundproof walls that ensured a peaceful retreat after busy days of discovery. The charming eastern dock lands area, full of stylish eateries and lively bars, added a local flavor to our experience—perfect for indulging in hearty meals and killer margaritas after a day out. Breakfast at the hotel was a treat, featuring an à la carte menu that satisfied both our early cravings and late risers alike. The Hoxton proved to be a splendid base for our Amsterdam adventure, encapsulating everything I value—sustainability, local culture, and comfort.
